Сегодня наш земляк, летчик-космонавт и дважды Герой Советского Союза Виктор Савиных отмечает 60-летие своего брака. Об этом сообщили в правительстве Кировской области. 24 июня 1966 года он и его избранница Лилия создали семью. В книге «Вятка - Байконур – Космос» Виктор Петрович делится воспоминаниями: «Когда мы встретились, мне было девятнадцать. Я пришел на танцы с девушкой, имя которой уже не помню. Мы отлично провели время, мне и подруге было весело. Девушку приглашали танцевать, как и полагается, спрашивая у меня разрешения. Вдруг... меня тоже начали звать. Эта девушка была симпатичной, в ее глазах искрились задорные чертики. Она танцевала легко и свободно, а под конец сказала мне тоном, не терпящим возражений: «Сегодня ты проводишь меня домой». Ее настойчивость меня рассмешила. «Нет, — отвечаю, — не пойду!» — «Почему?» Она удивилась и возмутилась, и чертики в ее глазах тоже пришли в возмущение». Сегодня, спустя много лет, Виктор Савиных признается своей супруге: «Все, что я делал в жизни, было ради тебя».
