Vyacheslav Tsaryuk spoke out against restrictions on the sale of gasoline in canisters during the height of the summer cottage season.
"I'll start with prices. I just traveled through 4 regions: Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Komi, and Kirov. So, we have the lowest fuel price: 95 octane at 69.38. The least I saw from neighbors was 69.45. So, there's no need to make a fuss in the swamps," comments Vyacheslav Tsaryuk on the cost of gasoline.
However, the ban on selling fuel in canisters during the peak dacha season is considered wrong by the socialist.
"Who decided that citizens will now set up a fuel storage at home? Fuel in canisters is needed for household purposes: lawn mowers, chainsaws, tillers, handheld gasoline tools with internal combustion engines do not work without gasoline!" states the deputy.
It seems one could just fill up the tank and drain it at home. But what about those who work with diesel engines? Or if a car runs on 95 octane but needs 92?
"I believe that the restrictions on selling fuel in canisters provoke panic among the population. The dacha season is in full swing now, and gasoline in canisters is needed," says Vyacheslav Tsaryuk.
This issue is something the Just Russia representative plans to discuss with the relevant ministry. The deputy suggests allowing sales in canisters, even if only for 92 octane gasoline. Perhaps limiting the volume — for example, no more than 20 liters at a time, and only in special canisters for fuel.
