The sale of fuel has been banned on marketplaces.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service has published new data on the fuel market situation. It has become known that antimonopoly officials, together with digital platforms, are working to prevent speculative resale of fuel. In particular, "Avito" has hidden advertisements for fuel sales until the relevant rules are finalized, while "Ozon" and "Wildberries" have banned the sale of automotive fuel on their platforms. Attempts to create similar listings are blocked at the moderation stage.
The FAS also reported that specialists are conducting checks on the justification of prices for petroleum products. Measures are taken in response to identified violations. Unscheduled inspections of major oil traders have been conducted in the wholesale market due to suspicions of collusion in bidding. A case has been initiated against three traders for violating competition protection laws.
In addition, the FAS has instructed its divisions to strengthen control over fuel sales to agricultural producers. They will need to monitor compliance with antimonopoly legislation more closely than before.
