A Kirov resident with 11 convictions was caught again for a series of thefts.
According to the Prosecutor's Office of the Kirov Region, from March to May 2025, a woman from Kirov committed several thefts in grocery stores in the city. According to the investigation, she secretly stole food, alcohol, cosmetics, hygiene products, and household chemicals. The total damage exceeded 12,000 rubles.
The court found the woman guilty under Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Theft"). When sentencing, it was taken into account that she had previously been criminally prosecuted 11 times for similar offenses.
As a result, the court sentenced her to 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment to be served in a general regime correctional colony. The convicted woman will be escorted to the place of serving her sentence.
The woman attempted to appeal the verdict; however, the Judicial Panel for Criminal Cases of the Kirov Regional Court rejected the appeal. The verdict has entered into legal force.
