An employee of the Kirov enterprise stole copper winding for several months.
A statement was received at Police Department No. 1 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kirov from the security service of one of the Kirov enterprises. Employees discovered the fact of theft of non-ferrous metal products.
As established by the police, one of the workers, born in 1973, had access to backup electric motors. For several months, he systematically took out copper winding and then sold the non-ferrous metal at a scrap metal collection point. In total, he managed to obtain more than 150,000 rubles, which the man spent on personal needs.
An investigator from the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kirov initiated a criminal case under part 4 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft in especially large amounts). The investigation is ongoing.
