The former head of Kirovo-Chepetsk, Vladimir Kreshetov, has passed away.
On June 14, the death of Vladimir Kreshetov, the former head of Kirovo-Chepetsk and chairman of the city council, became known. Vladimir Kreshetov headed the city council from 2001 to 2006 and was the head of the city from 2011 to 2016. He arrived in Kirovo-Chepetsk in 1972 after graduating from Moscow State University and dedicated his life to the city, rising from engineer to leader. During his tenure, the city tackled complex challenges following the crisis of the 90s, including the development of infrastructure and social facilities. Colleagues and veterans remember Vladimir Kreshetov as an experienced leader, a strong speaker, and a person who remained a prominent figure in the city's public life for many years.
