Eight employees and three units of equipment from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were working at the scene. Alexey Tolstoguzov, an inspector from the supervisory department of the city of Kirov, explained that the cause of the fire was the focusing of sunlight through glass containers stored on the balcony. It acted as a lens. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds: do not leave glass jars, bottles, mirrors, and other objects that can focus sunlight on balconies and windowsills.
