In the Kirov camp, "the building caught fire."
The first shift at "Vishkil" has just begun, and the strength test has already occurred. On the second day of the arrival, staff and children practiced evacuation — according to the organizers' plan, building No. 19 caught fire.
The alarm signal in the camp did not catch anyone off guard. Employees reacted promptly and acted strictly according to instructions, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kirov Region reported. All fire safety systems, as required, operated in normal mode.
The conditional fire was extinguished without calling in units from the area — with their own resources. The camp's volunteer fire team successfully handled the task.
After the evacuation, a practical briefing was held for the staff: they refreshed their memory on how to use fire extinguishers and other primary fire-fighting equipment.
A total of 65 staff members and 328 students participated in the drills. The Ministry of Emergency Situations summarized the results briefly — the staff acted competently and cohesively, reported the Department of Supervision and Preventive Work of the Kotelnichsky District and the All-Russian Voluntary Fire Society.
