Kirov and Chelyabinsk agreed to exchange tourists.
The Kirov and Chelyabinsk regions have agreed to cooperate in the field of tourism. The document was signed at the "Travel!" forum. The agreement was concluded by Olga Averyanova (who heads the department for the development of tourism and folk arts and crafts of the Kirov region) and Anastasia Ponkina (head of the main department for coordinating tourism development in the Chelyabinsk region). The ceremony was attended by the governor of the Kirov region, Alexander Sokolov, and the deputy chairman of the Chelyabinsk region government, Andrey Kolyada. What is included in the agreement: expanding connections between tour operators and public organizations; exchanging experiences in project implementation; joint tourist events; creating routes with attractions from both regions. Prior to this, the parties had already discussed joint routes, and the Kirov region hosted a tourist train from Chelyabinsk. As Alexander Sokolov noted, such agreements attract tourists to the region and help small businesses and the service sector develop. Anastasia Ponkina added that tourism develops precisely through regional cooperation. According to her, the agreement will allow for more active experience exchange, support common projects, and promote the tourism potential of the regions.
