In Kirovo-Chepetsk, the "Dvurichye" park was opened: children preferred the fountain to the official program.
Kirovo-Chepetsk received another public space over the weekend. On Russia Day, the "Dvuryechye" park was ceremoniously opened. Despite it being a holiday, when many people head to their summer cottages, a significant number of visitors gathered in the park, with many coming as families.
The head of the city, Sergey Zavyalov, welcoming those present, noted that "Dvuryechye" completed the pedestrian zone — from the memorial on Vyatskaya Embankment through the "River of Time" square to Mira Avenue. According to him, each element of this route is a separate project, and it took a total of ten years to implement them.
City residents were also congratulated by Alexander Ivanishin, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly. He attended the celebration with his wife and youngest daughter and expressed hope that the park would become a favorite leisure spot for residents and a decoration for their hometown.
For children, the organizers prepared a play program with puppets. However, due to the hot weather, all the young residents' attention was drawn to the fountain. The kids turned it into the main playground. They got completely soaked but were only happy about it: they kept running through the streams of water, laughing with joy.
The ceremonial part concluded with the awarding of the employees of the company that created the park. Together with the head of the administration, Igor Gagarin, Sergey Zavyalov and Alexander Ivanishin presented the builders with letters of gratitude.
