According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, from 20:00 on June 9 to 7:00 on June 10, air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 326 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type. The regions affected by the attacks include Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saratov, and Ulyanovsk.
The head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolaev, reported a missile attack on Cheboksary. According to him, all emergency services are working on-site, and measures are being taken to ensure the safety of residents. Traffic in the city is temporarily restricted on some streets due to the work of special services, reports "Rossiyskaya Gazeta."
The host of "Channel One," Ruslan Ostashko, stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could have used the "Flamingo" missile to strike Cheboksary and posted a frame showing the silhouette of a projectile flying over the city, resembling a cruise missile. Honored military pilot, Major General Vladimir Popov, named the possible launch site as either Mykolaiv or the part of Kherson controlled by Kyiv. According to him, the missiles exit onto the isthmus near Henichesk, then fly along the coast of the Sea of Azov and can thus reach the Volga region, reports "Lenta.ru."
The distance from Kirov to Cheboksary by road is about 389 kilometers, and to Nizhny Novgorod is about 430-440 kilometers.
No official reports of an attack on the territory of Kirov region have been received.
