Kirov Region - out of the national investment ranking
The Agency for Strategic Initiatives has published a ranking of Russian regions based on the state of the investment climate in 2026. It is noteworthy that the current ranking, unlike the previous one, includes not 20 regions but 45, as several places in the ranking were shared among multiple regions. For example, Moscow and Tatarstan share the first place. The second place is held by Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow regions. The 10th place in the ranking is shared by three regions — Omsk, Saratov, and Voronezh regions. However, despite more than a twofold increase in the number of regions — from 20 to 45 — Kirov region is not included in the ranking, not even in the last, 20th place. It is worth noting that the previous appearance of our region in the national ranking of regions by investment climate was in 2016. At that time, the ranking included 20 Russian regions, and Kirov region occupied the 15th place, improving its indicators by 10 points — from the 25th place in 2015.
