In the Kirov region, the duty of the combined rescue squad, which ensured the safety of participants in the Velikoretsky pilgrimage throughout the entire route to the village of Velikoretskoye, has concluded. According to the regional press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, during the pilgrimage, more than 2,500 pilgrims sought medical and other assistance. More than 100 people required evacuation due to difficult movement conditions. Specialized emergency service vehicles were on duty for prompt response to possible incidents along the route. Additionally, on June 5 and 6, fire crews, fire supervision staff, and GIMS inspectors were on standby on the Great River. Rescuers worked during worship services, the accommodation of pilgrims for rest, as well as in areas where food was prepared using open flames. Today, the participants of the pilgrimage returned to Kirov, where the main events concluded.
