Kirov sambists got the full treatment.

      The championship of the country in sambo among masters has concluded in Kemerovo. Such a convoluted wording is simple: "masters" means veterans.

      The competition gathered about 500 athletes from 45 regions. The Kirov region was represented by three athletes, all of whom became prize winners. Master of Sports Ruslan Mikhailov won the gold medal, thus earning a place in the Russian national team and a ticket to the World Championship. Dmitry Prokopyev and Mikhail Chebotary became bronze medalists of the competition.
