Only 14% of Kirov residents plan to extend the weekend for Russia Day.
This year, due to the celebration of Russia Day, residents working a five-day week will receive three consecutive days off — from June 12 to June 14. 14% of those surveyed intend to add extra days to this.
Statistics vary among different groups of respondents: men are more likely than women to plan to take additional days off (18% vs. 10%), and residents over 35 are more active in extending their weekends than the youth (19% vs. 8%). Among those surveyed with higher education, 17% want to take a longer break, while among those with secondary vocational education, only 9%.
At the same time, the majority of Kirov residents (61%) decided to stick to the official days off and not add vacation or time off to them.
