In Mitino, fallen trees at the cemetery damaged the grave of a WWII veteran.
According to activists of the People's Front, in May, residents of Mitino discovered that trees had fallen in the cemetery, damaging several graves. The grave of a World War II veteran suffered the most. A one-meter pit appeared near the monument, left by the uprooted tree roots. The metal fence was mangled. To buy a new one, more than 30,000 rubles will be needed. However, before that, the cut parts of the trees need to be removed.
The People's Front contacted the administration of the Slobodsky district. They reported that the trees fell after winter and that no one had dealt with their removal due to the lack of a specialized service. A municipal contract has only been signed for the removal of illegal dumps. Nevertheless, the authorities promised to remove the fallen trees within a month.
