      A criminal case has been initiated against a 66-year-old director of a management company. She is accused under paragraph "v" of part 2 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements). According to the investigation, the head of the organization failed to ensure the timely removal of snow and ice from the balcony elements of building No. 45 on Militsionnaya Street. On February 5, 2026, snow and ice collapsed onto an 11-year-old girl passing by. As a result of the fall, she sustained a head injury that caused serious harm to her health. During the preliminary investigation, the issue of compensation for moral damage was not resolved—neither voluntarily nor within the framework of investigative actions. Therefore, the prosecutor's office, acting in the interests of the victim, demanded through the court the payment of 1 million rubles as compensation. The Prosecutor's Office of the Kirov Region has taken control of the consideration of both the criminal case and the civil claim for compensation.
