      Since the beginning of 2026, 862 residents of the Kirov region have retired early due to their long work experience. According to the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia, this is 3.4 times more than in the same period of 2025 (250). Since the launch of this program in 2019, more than 6,126 people in the region have retired early.

      Men with at least 42 years of experience and women with at least 37 years of experience are entitled to an early pension. Retirement is possible no earlier than 60 and 55 years, respectively.

      When calculating work experience, the following periods are taken into account: work, sick leave, military service. Participation in a special military operation is counted at double the rate—one day of service is equivalent to two days of experience.

      It should be noted that periods of receiving unemployment benefits, caring for children under one and a half years old, and looking after disabled citizens are not included in this type of experience.
