On June 3, the final of the XIV season of project activities of the Polytechnic Institute of VyatGU took place in the assembly hall of the "Engineeringium" – a reporting and very significant event for the largest structural unit of the university. The director of the Polytechnic Institute of VyatGU, Olga Rubleva, addressed the participants and guests of the annual celebration. "This event is held under the auspices of the project 'Engineering Platform' implemented by the Polytechnic Institute, which provides engineering education within the framework of designing products that can be used in machine engineering and other fields," noted the director. The dean of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture, Olga Sinitsyna, took the floor: "All faculties of our institute present their best projects to you today. We will watch, listen, and participate in testing interesting tasks and project solutions. Moreover, we want you, our esteemed guests, to work as experts today. You will not only be able to ask interesting questions and receive answers but also evaluate the work of our students."

Among the experts were representatives of employers - industrial partners of the university. The projects were also evaluated by students from VyatGU College. The exhibition truly amazed the imagination. A wide range of fascinating solutions was presented by the Faculty of Construction and Architecture. Second-year students Sergey Vorobyov and Anna Morozova, along with other classmates, created a renovation project for secondary school No. 60 in Kirov. "I studied at this school for 11 years – I know firsthand that the building needs repairs. We applied participatory research methods: we surveyed students and their parents, teachers, and the school administration. We found out that the classrooms, corridors, and restrooms are in need of repair first and foremost. We proposed original ideas for transforming the space," Sergey said. The students of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning also presented projects for landscaping the territory in the village of Borovitsa and the city of Urzhum, as well as a concept for a center for patriotic education of youth in Kirov.
What games do modern youth prefer? We won't be mistaken if we name computer games. Third-year student of the Faculty of Technology, Engineering, and Design Polina Tyricheva presented a computer game "Phantom Light," created in the horror genre using point-and-click. The student explained: "Of course, our game is mostly entertaining, but at the same time, it is therapeutically educational. It teaches teenagers (who are the target audience) how to properly and correctly experience their emotions. Here they encounter a friendly, pleasant story presented in a gothic wrapper." The prototype created by the developers has prospects for further commercialization and is currently attracting attention to the extent that students from VyatGU College awarded the game their audience's sympathy prize. As always, the students of the Electrical Engineering Faculty impressed as well. Already in their first year, they develop useful intellectual devices. Maxim Vasyov, on behalf of the team, presented a multifunctional water quality tester made based on a microcontroller. His classmate Sergey Lysov demonstrated a food spoilage analyzer, which receives feedback on temperature and the state of gases in the environment through sensors. There were dozens of similar projects. "Duality in Fashion" by Polina Bratukhina from the Department of Technology and Methodology of Teaching Technology, a portable drilling machine for future mechanical engineer Stepan Tatarinov, a modern foldable fish cleaner by Makara Kondakova, and much more. The experts had plenty to see and be amazed by!

Anastasia Izegova, head of the personnel department at the Kirov plant for processing non-ferrous metals, shared: "We collaborate very closely with the Electrical Engineering Faculty of VyatGU. We are pleased when students come to us for internships. We gladly responded to our colleagues' invitation to attend this event. The projects are very interesting, and the guys are truly creative. Overall, this format is beneficial as it provides an opportunity to see firsthand what young people are capable of. It is especially gratifying that the proposed projects can be implemented in enterprises right now." The final part of the closing of the XIV season of project activities at Polytech was rich in surprises. Diplomas and letters of gratitude, prizes and gifts from experts, other guests of the celebration, and deans – no one left empty-handed! In a year, we will have a similar event for the next, fifteenth season. Let's see what the magnificent team of Polytech VyatGU will prepare for it. We have no doubt it will be very interesting!
