Restrictions on the sale of gasoline have been introduced in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Car owners from St. Petersburg and Moscow have started complaining about restrictions on the sale of gasoline "per person" at certain gas stations, reports "RBK". Similar measures were previously introduced in Crimea and Sevastopol. According to an unnamed manager of a large oil depot near St. Petersburg, the fuel shortage at gas stations is not widespread. However, some gas stations are indeed receiving less gasoline. The source explained that gas station networks primarily supply popular stations with high traffic — there are no restrictions there. The situation with diesel fuel is even better: it is in surplus on the market, and there is the possibility of exporting it. Independent gas stations are suffering the most from the current situation: they receive fuel on a residual basis and at a higher price. Because of this, owners have to raise prices and impose limits on gasoline dispensing. Recall that we previously reported that restrictions on gasoline sales are already in effect in Crimea.
