According to the investigation, in April and December 2025, a 49-year-old former director of a timber processing enterprise received illegal remuneration from an individual entrepreneur for concluding profitable contracts. For assistance in signing contracts for the supply of timber products and conducting forest management (including the removal of logging residues), he received 30,000 rubles in April and 300,000 rubles in December. The actions of the accused caused harm to other suppliers: contracts were concluded bypassing the principles of fair competition. The crime was uncovered by operatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov region. The accused is currently under a travel ban and is required to behave properly. His property worth over 1.1 million rubles has been seized. The criminal case with an approved indictment from the prosecutor's office has been submitted to the Lenin District Court of Kirov. The former director is charged with committing crimes under Part 6 and Part 7 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (commercial bribery).
