The pilgrims reached Makary.

      With songs and prayers, the participants of the Velikoretsky cross procession reached the Trinity Church in Makarye — this is the first stop. It will last from 11:30 to 14:00. The next one is expected at 18:30 in the village of Bobino, where a service with an akathist to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker will take place. Despite the fatigue, people are gathering around Metropolitan Mark of Sloboda and Vyatka.

      As reported by a correspondent from Newsler.ru, happy pilgrims were leaving the Trifonov Monastery. Many onlookers gathered on the streets — people were photographing the procession, and some decided to join in on the go. The clergy walking ahead were also joyful and greeted everyone.

      The procession was guarded strictly, as in previous years: no one was allowed onto the roadway unless they were initially walking in the flow.

      Pilgrims noted: the weather has softened. The sun is shining, but it’s not hot, and a light breeze is blowing. In previous years, it should be noted, there was heat during the days of the procession. The pace of movement is not as fast as it was before.
