The Kirov cafe was fined for music.

Earlier, representatives of the Russian Authors' Society found out that songs by several authors were being performed in a café in Kirov. The owner, an individual entrepreneur, did not obtain the necessary consent from the rights holders and did not sign a contract with them. The Society approached the entrepreneur, demanding compensation, but no agreement could be reached. The matter went to court.

The Arbitration Court of the Kirov Region ordered the entrepreneur to pay 160,000 rubles — 20,000 rubles for each instance of illegal use of the songs. The entrepreneur filed an appeal. The Second Arbitration Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the first-instance court and left it unchanged.
