The maintenance of the Novo-Makaryevsky cemetery will be handled by a new contractor.
The head of the Kirov administration, Vyacheslav Simakov, published a post dedicated to the Makaryevsky cemetery. He reported that workers are currently tidying it up for the Parent's Saturday. In particular, they continue to work on draining water from the 17th sector of the cemetery, both using machinery and manually. Tomorrow, Thursday, May 28, the sector will be covered with chips so that people can walk there. There is also cleanup of trees that were knocked down by strong winds.
Simakov added that the administration decided to terminate the contract with the previous contractor due to his "lack of capacity for the timely execution of assigned tasks." A new contractor will begin maintaining the cemetery on June 1. Simakov apologized to the local residents.
Let us remind you that on May 12, Governor Alexander Sokolov instructed Simakov to resolve the flooding issue at the cemetery within a day. According to the administration's information, this could not be accomplished even in two weeks. Also, let us remind you that Simakov has apologized for the cemetery for the second time.
