"Pressures" and cuts: Vorobieva complained about the problems of kindergarten workers
At the meeting of the Kirov City Duma, deputy Anastasia Vorobyova, speaking on behalf of the Communist Party faction, touched upon the topic of preschool education. She reported that she had spoken with kindergarten staff and found out what they were most dissatisfied with. According to the deputy, first and foremost, the workers complain about the complicated reporting that they have to fill out periodically. In addition, Vorobyova reported on the "pressure" and "quite high pressure" that, in her opinion, the administration could exert on kindergarten staff in connection with the voting for the upcoming elections and the voting on the "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" program. The deputy noted that staff were allegedly asked to collect screenshots from those people who participated in the votes. In Vorobyova's opinion, politics should not relate to the competence of kindergarten workers at all; moreover, their work is already quite difficult, and it is unnecessary to put additional pressure on them. The deputy also touched upon the topic of low salaries and mass staff reductions, which, in her opinion, are taking place. The authorities did not comment on the first question but addressed the second. Thus, the head of the city, Elena Kovaleva, noted that she was hearing about reductions in kindergartens for the first time, at least in Kirov. She added that the authorities, on the contrary, are doing everything possible for people to continue working in their positions. Deputy head of the administration Vsevolod Frolov reported that there are methodological recommendations for forming staff numbers, but he has no information about mass layoffs. As a result, the issue of the number of kindergarten workers was decided to be discussed in detail at the next commission meeting in June.
