Residents of the Kirov region keep 346 billion rubles in banks.

      As of April 1, Kirov residents have deposited 346 billion rubles in bank accounts and deposits. This is 20% more than a year earlier, reported the regional branch of the Bank of Russia.

      Most residents of the region still prefer to keep their money in rubles. Ruble deposits account for 98.5% of all savings — about 341 billion rubles.

      As noted by Sergey Kryukov, the manager of the Kirov branch of the Volga-Vyatka Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia, bank deposits remain one of the most attractive ways for residents of the region to save money.

      — Even with the decrease in the key rate, the yield on deposits still exceeds the level of inflation. In addition, funds in deposits are insured by the state up to 1.4 million rubles, he reminded.

      At the same time, the volume of funds in organizational deposits in the Kirov region decreased by 9% to 45 billion rubles. The accounts of individual entrepreneurs decreased by 2% over the year to 23 billion rubles.
