According to preliminary data, the emergency occurred at the site "Transport transition under the railway infrastructure on Sovetskaya Street." During the installation of support pillars by the carpenter of LLC "Avtoban-Most," a piece of soil reportedly collapsed. The State Labor Inspection reported that the injuries sustained are classified as severe. Specialists are currently conducting an investigation and establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
— "During the investigation, specific circumstances and causes of the accident will be determined," said Deputy Head of the State Labor Inspection A. D. Loginov.
Let us remind you that the construction of the tunnel in Novovyatsk has been ongoing since 2024. At the start, the project faced issues with relocating engineering communications; however, the pace of work later accelerated. Recently, the installation of piles at the site was completed. Regional authorities previously stated that, barring unforeseen circumstances, the tunnel could be completed ahead of schedule.
In 2026, project funding was increased. The total cost of construction is currently estimated at approximately 6 billion rubles.
