Misha was shaved to prevent overheating.
An unusual visit was recorded last week by the employees of the Slobodskaya Veterinary Station. A ram was brought in for grooming. The curly-haired client is named Misha. The task was taken on not only by veterinary specialists but also by the drivers of the veterinary station. They carefully removed the excess wool from the animal and also provided pedicure and manicure services.
Why does a ram need such care? The press service of the Veterinary Department of the Kirov Region explained: spring shearing is not a cosmetic procedure, but a vital one. Thick wool in spring leads to overheating, and well-groomed hooves help the animal feel comfortable.
So Misha was shaved not for fashion, but for health. The specialists, it seems, did an excellent job — the client left satisfied, neat, and ready for the warmth.
