Pepper - minus 25%, cruises - plus 23%: Kirovstat published April prices

      Kirovstat has published data on changes in consumer prices in the region for April 2026.

      Products

      Prices, on average, decreased by 0.4% due to fruit and vegetable products, which became cheaper by 5.8%. Sweet peppers fell by 25.4%, cucumbers by 21.6%, oranges by 13.1%, cabbage by 8.7%, and tomatoes by 8.6%. At the same time, carrots increased by 5.9%, and beets by 6.5%.

      Among meat products, prices increased: sausages and frankfurters by 5.2%, chickens by 4.5%, salted and smoked fish by 2.7%. Decreases were noted in: canned meat by 2.5%, and raw smoked sausage by 2%.

      Among dairy products, the following became cheaper: creamy ice cream by 4.2%, national cheeses and bryndza by 3.5%, and processed cheeses by 2.4%.

      Chicken eggs became cheaper by 4.9%. Sugar increased by 3.6%, and buckwheat by 3.4%.

      Non-food products

      On average, prices increased by 0.5%. Children's creams rose by 5.5%, shampoos by 5.3%, and toothpaste by 3.3%. USB flash drives increased by 5.9%, case furniture by 4.6%, umbrellas by 4%, and laptops by 3%.

      Wireless headphones became cheaper by 3.3%, smartwatches by 2.7%, and smartphones by 2.1%.

      Services

      The average increase was 0.2%. Tariffs for travel in compartment cars sharply increased: non-branded by 14.3%, branded by 10.1%. In contrast, open-plan cars became cheaper by 3.5%.

      River cruises in Russia increased by 23.6%, and excursion tours in Russia by 5.4%.

      Foreign travel packages fell in price: Southeast Asian countries by minus 21.8%, China by minus 20.3%, Central Asian countries by minus 10.4%, Egypt by minus 7.6%. Tours to Turkey increased by 4.4%.

      The fee for kindergarten increased by 7.9%, and the CASCO insurance policy by 5.6%. The fee for consumer loans decreased by 2.6%.
