The budget deficit of the Kirov region reached 9.1 billion rubles.

      Today, May 20, a report on the execution of the regional budget for 2025 was presented at the meeting of the Legislative Assembly committee. It became known that the region finished the year with revenues of 107.5 billion rubles and expenditures of 116.7 billion rubles. The deficit amounted to 9.1 billion rubles. It is planned to cover it through loans, leftover funds from the previous period, and other sources.

      62% of all funds were directed to the social sphere. Expenditures on capital investments, such as the construction of four schools in Kirov, a tunnel in Novovyatsk, the reconstruction of the Vazyuk — Oparino road, the construction of the "Central" landfill, etc., amounted to 11.1 billion rubles, including 7.9 billion rubles from the regional budget. The road fund expenditures reached 15.1 billion rubles, and with this money, 365 kilometers of roads and nine bridges were repaired. 1.6 billion rubles were spent on landscaping.

      As for national projects, the region failed to achieve target indicators for three of them. These are "Infrastructure for Life" (99.4%), "Youth and Children" (99.8%), and "Environmental Well-Being" (97.6%). The overall figure was 99.5%.
