A resident of Sovetsk wanted to make money on stocks and lost a million.
According to the police, about a month ago, a resident of Sovetsk met unknown individuals in a messenger who offered him "help" in earning money through investments. The man was only required to transfer money to the specified details — the interlocutors assured him that they would conduct profitable transactions themselves.
During the communication, the victim transferred 18,000 rubles of personal savings to the scammers, and then took out loans and borrowed money from acquaintances. In total, he sent the fraudsters more than one million rubles.
During the correspondence and phone calls, the "financial assistants" told the man about successful operations and profits, but he was never able to receive the promised income. Later, the resident of Sovetsk realized that he had become a victim of fraud.
A criminal case has been initiated for fraud under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The police are currently identifying the perpetrators.
