A fire occurred in the Kotelnichsky district.
According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kirov Region, on May 16, a two-apartment residential building caught fire. The fire destroyed the roof of the outbuildings and the veranda.
Nine people and four units of equipment from the 40th fire and rescue unit of Kotel'nich were working at the scene. The apartments were saved. The presumed cause is children's playing with fire.
There are no casualties.
The residents of the house expressed their gratitude to the rescuers and local residents.
"Thank you to the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and all the caring residents of the village for their help in extinguishing the fire. Thanks to your prompt response, unity, and joint efforts, we managed to prevent the further spread of the fire and save our apartment," their statement reads.
