Later, the problem was also brought to the attention of activists from the regional branch of the ONF, who submitted a request to the supervisory authority.
The inspection revealed that the section of the road lacked the necessary number of stationary lighting elements, which did not adequately ensure the safety of pedestrians and drivers. Specialists from the State Traffic Inspectorate conducted measurements and established that the level of illumination was eight times lower than the requirements of GOST.
After the intervention of the prosecutor's office, a proposal was made to the head of the city administration. The responsible official was held accountable. In addition, based on the inspection materials, the traffic police initiated an administrative case under the article on non-compliance with traffic safety requirements in road maintenance.
Subsequently, the section was equipped with additional street lighting elements.
The prosecutor also filed a lawsuit in court for compensation for moral damages in the interests of the injured schoolgirl. The court granted the claims — the girl will receive 5,000 rubles.
