Sokolov on the Day of Children's Associations: "A large number of notable guests will arrive."

      Today, May 18, at a meeting in the government, Governor Alexander Sokolov reminded that on the 19th, the Kirov region will celebrate Children's Associations Day. Let us remind you that the holiday was introduced at his initiative. Speaking about it, Sokolov emphasized that there is nothing like this in other regions (while omitting the fact that there has long been a Day of Children's Public Associations at the national level). He also delivered a speech about the long and ancient history of our country and about continuity, including children's holidays, hinting that Children's Associations Day has become something like an equivalent of the Soviet Pioneer Day. According to the governor, for one day, the Kirov region will become the capital of the children's movement. A "large number of notable guests" will come to our region for the celebration, including Heroes of Russia, leaders of children's organizations, representatives of the scientific community, those involved in the development of children's associations, representatives of federal government bodies, etc. "A very important day," Sokolov noted. "I hope the Kirov region will be positively highlighted at the federal level."
