Foreigners lay on Kirov blankets and looked at the dolls.

      At the meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov reported that the international forum "Russia - Islamic World" recently took place in Kazan. During the event, Kirov enterprises showcased their products to foreign delegations.

      Sokolov noted that the trade turnover with the Islamic world is growing for the Kirov region. In 2025, it amounted to 17.5 billion rubles or 21% of the total trade turnover. Over the year, the figure increased by 7%. The share of exports is 77% or 15.3 billion rubles. In total, the region cooperates with 27 countries, exporting to 26 of them. Mainly, our products are sent to Kazakhstan, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan.

      The Chairman of the Government, Mikhail Sandalov, who also attended the forum, noted that foreigners were interested in Kirov products, including wooden houses, toys, cosmetics, and much more. Among them were representatives from the UAE, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Foreigners also liked Kirov blankets—many of them, according to the official, even lay on them.
