More than 35 thousand families with children in the Kirov region received payments from the Social Fund.
In the Kirov region, state support measures for families with children will be received by over 35,000 families in 2026. This was reported by the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia. According to the agency, the system of payments covers all stages of a child's development — from the moment of expecting the baby until they reach adulthood.
More than 35,000 parents have registered for a unified allowance in the region for 38,000 children. The payment is assigned to families whose income per family member is below the subsistence minimum — 16,856 rubles. A comprehensive assessment of need is applied when assigning the payment: funds are received by those who truly need them.
The maternity capital program has been transitioned to automatic mode. The certificate is issued within five working days after the registry office registers the birth of the child. The document is sent to the mother's personal account on the "Gosuslugi" portal — no application submission is required.
In the Kirov region, an analysis of the use of maternity capital showed that the top priority is improving housing conditions (buying or building housing), followed by paying for children's education, including kindergartens and university studies.
In addition to these payments, the Social Fund branch provides a monthly allowance for child care up to 1.5 years — for both working and non-working citizens, one-time payments at birth, as well as special allowances for families of conscripted or mobilized military personnel.
"The family is the foundation of society, and our task is to make receiving state support as simple and convenient as possible," said Nikolai Pasynkov, head of the SFR branch in the Kirov region. "Today, over 95% of applications for child benefits in the region are submitted electronically through the Gosuslugi portal. This relieves parents from personal visits and the collection of paper certificates."
The "seamless" support system for families in the region started operating in 2023 with the introduction of a unified allowance that combined several previous payments. Parents no longer need to contact different authorities as the child grows. All social payments in the Kirov region are indexed annually.
