The court in Sun took away the car and driver's license from a drunk driver from Arkul.

      In Sun, a 36-year-old man was sentenced after being caught driving under the influence in the territory of the Sun district. As the investigation established, he had previously been charged with a similar offense. The incident occurred on October 12, 2025. On the highway in the Sun district, a "LIFAN" vehicle was stopped. It was driven by a resident of the village of Arkul in the Nolina district, who showed signs of intoxication. He was subsequently removed from driving.

      When checking the identity of the offender, it was revealed that the man had already been subjected to administrative punishment for driving while intoxicated. This led to criminal liability under Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Driving a vehicle, tram, or other mechanical transport by a person in a state of intoxication who has been subjected to administrative punishment for driving a vehicle while intoxicated or for failing to comply with a lawful request of an authorized official to undergo a medical examination for intoxication).

      The prosecutor's office of the Sun district supported the state prosecution. The court imposed a penalty: a fine of 100,000 rubles and a two-year ban on driving vehicles. Additionally, at the request of the state prosecutor, the court applied Article 104.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The offender's "LIFAN" vehicle was confiscated for state ownership.
