Memory cherished by generations: VyatSU pays tribute to the university's veterans

      On May 8, students of the Polytechnic Institute of VyatGU, together with the staff of the Department of Educational Work and Social Adaptation, laid flowers at the Monument to the Young Soldier. "Our university carefully preserves a glorious tradition: on the eve of the great Victory holiday, we lay flowers at the monument that immortalizes the heroes – staff and students of the university who bravely fought on the fields of the Great Patriotic War," noted Igor Shamov, head of the Department of Educational Work and Social Adaptation of VyatGU. Students cherish the memory of the heroes' feats. In anticipation of the holiday, they held a community cleanup, lovingly beautifying the area around the monument: clearing the paths leading to the monument and removing last year's leaves. Tomorrow, on the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory of the Soviet people over Nazi Germany, the team of Vyat State University will participate in the Victory Parade in the main square of the city.
