The Kirovo-Chepetsk city prosecutor's office decided to check how one of the local private security organizations complies with labor legislation. The outcome of the inspection was predictable: violations were found.
The employer did not conduct the final settlement for nine dismissed security guards. The amount they were underpaid totaled almost 500,000 rubles.
The prosecutor reacted with a standard but effective set of measures: he submitted a proposal to eliminate the violations and simultaneously initiated an administrative case under part 6 of article 5.27 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (non-payment of wages and other amounts due upon dismissal).
The result for the former employees was positive. After the intervention of the supervisory authority, the debt was settled. In addition, the security guards were paid compensation for the delay in the settlement.
