In Kotel'nich, a fraudster sold blankets to a pensioner at an inflated price.

On March 24, a 75-year-old local resident contacted the police in Kotel'nich. She reported that an unfamiliar man came to her home and sold her two blankets at an obviously inflated price. The police saw signs of fraud in the seller's actions.

After some time, the criminal investigation department identified the suspected offender. He turned out to be a native of the Stavropol Krai born in 1978. After he was tracked down, the man voluntarily returned the money to the pensioner.

The victim sent a letter to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov region, Konstantin Selyanin, requesting to acknowledge the work of the detectives who solved the case — Police Captains Igor Medovikov and Yuri Fitsay. The Major General of Police decided to award both officers with honorary certificates from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov region.
