A storm with wind knocked down trees in Kirov: some streets were left without electricity.
Today in Kirov, a thunderstorm with gusty winds occurred. As a result of the bad weather, trees fell on several streets, including poplars on Slobodsky Tract. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties, and no serious damage to vehicles has been recorded.
As reported by the city's administration press service, immediately after receiving reports, teams from the green construction department were dispatched to the scene. Specialists removed trunks and large branches from the roadway, and work is currently ongoing to saw and remove the wood.
In the near future, the aftermath of the thunderstorm is planned to be addressed in other areas of the city — in the Chistye Prudy microdistrict, as well as on Lenin, Albert Likhano, Proizvodstvennaya streets, and several others.
Additionally, due to strong winds, a light arch fell in the train station square. The contractor has already returned the structure to its place and secured it.
Also, due to the thunderstorm, there was an emergency power outage in the area of Lepse, Depovskaya, and Matanza streets. According to the services, electricity supply is expected to be restored within the next hour.
