In Kirovstat, the results of retail trade in the Kirov region for January–March 2026 have been summarized. The total revenue of stores, markets, and trading points reached 90.5 billion rubles — this is 3.5% more than the previous year.
For essential goods — food products, including beverages, as well as tobacco products — 46.2 billion rubles were spent. Their share in the total turnover was 51.1%. Compared to the first quarter of 2025, this figure increased by 0.5 percentage points. The remaining 44.3 billion rubles were spent by the region's residents on non-food goods.
The distribution of sales volumes by types of trading organizations is interesting. Large and medium-sized businesses accounted for 66.6% of the total turnover. Small enterprises and microbusinesses accounted for 14.1%. Individual entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals, who trade outside markets and fairs, formed 18.3% of sales. The most modest result was from markets and fairs: together they contributed about 1% of the regional retail turnover.
