During the inspection of compliance with migration regulations, the prosecutors of the Primorsky District of Kirov examined the circumstances surrounding the entry of a foreign citizen's paternity record. The document concerned a child born in 2024 and living with the mother in the Kirov region. It was revealed that the woman and the man did not maintain a joint household, and the foreigner arrived in Russia only when the citizen's pregnancy was nearing its end. The supervisory authority regarded these circumstances as signs of fictitiousness: the acknowledgment of paternity, according to the prosecution, could have been used to legalize the foreigner's stay in the country and obtain citizenship in a simplified manner. The prosecutor filed a lawsuit challenging the legality of the record. The court granted the request. As of today, the decision has been executed, and the foreigner's paternity record has been annulled.
