Up to 80 centimeters per day: the water level in the rivers of the Kirov region has started to fall.
Today, the government of the Kirov region reported that the water level in the rivers has begun to decline. A slight rise has been recorded only in the northern part of the region. In the area of the hydropost Nagorsk, the water level in the Vyatka River has increased by nine centimeters, in the Kama River at the hydropost Loyno — by five, and in the Cobra River near the hydropost Sinegorye — by four. In other areas, the water level has reached a plateau and is decreasing, in some places by up to 80 centimeters per day.
The regional emergency management agency reported that over the course of a day, on May 3, the water level in the Vyatka River in Slobodskoy decreased by eight centimeters, in Arkul and Sovetsk — by three, in Kotelnich — by two, and in Kirov — by one. In Vyatskie Polyany, it remained unchanged. In Kirs, it increased by one centimeter, and in Nagorsk — by five.
A total of 112 private territories remain flooded in the Vyatskopolyansky, Zuevsky, Kotelnichsky, Malmyzhsky, Nolin, Sovetsky districts, and Kirov, as well as a low-water bridge in the Kiknur district and 15 sections of roads in the Afanasyevsky, Vyatskopolyansky, Zuevsky, Kotelnichsky, Oparinsky, Sovetsky districts, and Kirov.
