The festival of veteran groups "Together We Are Russia" took place in Kirov.
With the proposal to hold a festival at the beginning of the year, veterans from the city of Kirov approached the deputies. Non-budgetary funds were attracted for the implementation of the project. As the organizers noted, the festival brought together 32 veteran creative groups and more than 170 participants from all over Kirov. The project provided an opportunity for the older generation to express themselves, showcase their talents, and creative potential. Participants presented performances in three areas — vocal, choreographic, and artistic, reflecting the richness of cultural traditions, patriotic themes, and the continuity of generations in their performances. As the veterans noted, the festival became an important event that united people of different generations, strengthened cultural dialogue, and respect for the spiritual traditions of our country and homeland. Welcoming the participants and laureates of the festival, Boris Vesnin emphasized that support for the older generation remains one of the key areas of work. "We systematically work with the veteran community, support initiatives that help older people lead active, fulfilling lives, engage in creativity, sports, and public activities. And it is especially important that most ideas are born precisely in dialogue with the veterans themselves," noted Boris Vesnin. The chairwoman of the Kirov city veterans organization, Larisa Kopysova, noted that this year, with the support of Rahim Azimov and Boris Vesnin, several bright and in-demand projects are being implemented in Kirov. "For the first time in the city, unique projects 'School of Safety' and 'Vyatsky Long-Liver' are being implemented. These are truly necessary and in-demand initiatives — from computer literacy classes to health and active longevity practices. A chess tournament for veterans and youth 'Russia is Reaching for Space' has already taken place, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight. A real gift for Defender of the Fatherland Day and International Women's Day was a concert by the Moscow group 'Quartet PRO'. Together, we will hold a gathering of generations 'Aiming for Victory' by Victory Day. And this is just part of the large joint work that we are doing together with Rahim Azimov and Boris Vesnin," emphasized Larisa Kopysova.
