Vyatka continues to rise
According to the hydrological posts of the Central Hydrometeorological Service, in the last 24 hours, the water level in the Vyatka River near Kirov has slightly increased — by a maximum of 9 centimeters. In most other rivers in the region, on the contrary, a decline is observed.
As of the morning of April 26, the water level in the Vyatka River at Kirov was 447 cm from the zero post, having increased by 2 cm over the day.
Currently, 109 household territories remain flooded in several districts — Vyatskopolansky, Zuevsky, Kotelnychsky, Kilmizsky, Kirovo-Chepetsky, Malmyzhsky, Nolin, Soviet, as well as in Kirov itself. One low-water bridge in the Kiknur district and 10 local roads are also flooded.
Operational groups and rescuers are on duty in the flood zones. Targeted assistance to the population has been organized, and the situation remains under control. Authorities note that evacuation is not currently required, and life support systems are operating normally.
In case of worsening conditions, temporary accommodation points have been prepared.
