The Kirov region supplies products to Moscow and purchases from Mari El.

      According to Kirovstat, in 2025, organizations in the Kirov region that participated in the interregional trade observation exported 71 types of products of their own production to other regions of Russia for a total amount of 137.7 billion rubles. Of these, food products were supplied for a total of 30.1 billion rubles. Non-food products accounted for 107.6 billion rubles.

      The agency reported that the main consumers of Kirov food products were the Moscow region, the city of Moscow, the Republic of Komi, the Krasnodar Territory, and the Arkhangelsk region. The most in-demand products were confectionery, meat, cheese, meat semi-finished products, and milk produced in the Kirov region.

      Among non-food products, the most sought-after were pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, electrical conductors, tires and wheels for passenger cars, and finished rolled products. The largest volume of non-food products was shipped to Moscow, the Moscow region, the Krasnodar Territory, and the Samara and Nizhny Novgorod regions.

      As for regional imports, the main importer of food products was the Republic of Mari El. In second place was the Republic of Tatarstan, and in third place was the Vladimir region. The least amount of food products was imported into the Kirov region from the Udmurt Republic.

      The largest volume of non-food products imported into the Kirov region came from Moscow, the Samara region, and the Perm Territory.
