Fraudsters are calling Kirov entrepreneurs on behalf of officials.
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade of the Kirov Region has reported a new wave of telephone fraud. Malefactors are calling the heads and employees of enterprises, posing as Deputy Prime Minister Denis Pestrikov, Minister Evgeny Sokolov, or his deputies.
Under the guise of urgent resolution of work issues, the fraudsters attempt to gain trust and obtain confidential information (passport data, SMS codes, bank card details) or persuade individuals to transfer money to accounts under their control.
The agency reminds that official communication is conducted through the reception of the government or the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the phone numbers listed on the official websites.
Suspicious calls should be immediately terminated, and personal data should never be disclosed or money transferred. When receiving such calls, it is advised to record the numbers and accounts in messengers and send them to the email prom@ako.kirov.ru.
Recall that in March we reported that fraudsters hacked the TG channel of the speaker of the Kirov Regional Duma, Roman Beresnev. The malefactors posted about the "Leaders of Russia" competition.
