Analysts have analyzed the cost of basic maintenance for cars in more than ten cities in Russia, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, and Krasnodar. The calculations took into account work based on the average service rate and prices for consumables (oil, oil filters, and cabin filters).
The highest average bill was recorded for "Germans" (BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz) — 48 thousand rubles. Experts attribute this to design features, the high cost of original spare parts, and logistics.
In second place are American cars. Their maintenance costs 30–40 thousand rubles. The high price is due to large engines that require more oil.
Rounding out the top three are European brands (Volvo, Skoda, Renault) — average bill of 25 thousand rubles. Chinese brands did not make it into the ranking.
It is noted that owners of German cars are increasingly trying to save money by buying spare parts in "other boxes."
