Goods worth 3.5 billion were sold at markets and fairs in the Kirov region.

      By the end of 2025, there were 5 universal markets operating in the Kirov region with a total of 548 trading places. Of these, 63 places were allocated to farmers and producers of agricultural products.

      Throughout the year, 414 fairs took place in 44 municipalities with 9,206 trading places. Most of the places (75%) were occupied by individual entrepreneurs, 20% by citizens without registered individual entrepreneurship, 4% by legal entities, and 1% by farmers.

      Out of all the fairs, 231 were universal, 110 were weekend fairs, 64 specialized in non-food goods, and 9 in food products.

      The retail turnover at markets and fairs for the year amounted to 3.5 billion rubles — about 1% of the total retail turnover in the region. 72% of the turnover was from non-food goods, 28% from food products and tobacco.

      Markets and fairs provided the population with meat (9% of the total retail turnover for this product), fresh fruits and vegetables (2% each), clothing (8%), underwear (7%), and fur products (6%).
